Quality Quick Print to Acquire Academy Trophy & Engraving

Aberdeen, SD., — Sep 9th, 2016 — Quality Quick Print (QQP) and Academy Trophy & Engraving of Aberdeen, S.D., have agreed to terms for QQP to acquire Academy Trophy & Engraving, located in Aberdeen, SD., effective Oct. 1, 2016.

Justin Feickert, Vice President of Sales & Marketing for QQP says the opportunity to continue Vern Stoecker’s business is an honor and a great opportunity for Quality Quick Print to increase products offered. Currently QQP focuses on marketing related products such as printing, signs, banners, t-shirts and embroidery but will now be able to add trophies, awards, plaques, medals and personalized engraved gifts.

Vern Stoecker, Owner of Academy Trophy is excited to have his company live on. He will stay on as a part time employee for QQP helping transition the customers and train QQP on how to operate the business. Eventually the business will move from its current location of 53 years at 1720 6th Ave, SE to 2217 6th Ave, SE just a mile down the road to the east.

Vern who just turned 80 says, “I handpicked QQP because we have been customers of each other for over 30 years and the people over there are great.” He also said, “They know how to run a business and they will give my company a facelift and help it grow.”

Quality Quick Print was founded in 1979 by Roger Feickert as a quick print shop. They are part of the Midstates Group headquartered in Aberdeen, SD. Over the past 37 years QQP has grown to be a leader in supplying businesses with creative marketing materials such as commercial printing, digital printing, signs, banners, apparel, websites and online ordering. Matt and Justin Feickert are the 2nd Generation owners and their goal is to continue growing QQP in new services like trophies and engraving to continue to service their client’s needs. They are located in a 25,000 sq ft retail storefront in Aberdeen, SD.

About Academy Trophy & Engraving

Founded in 1963 by Vern Stoecker, the company started out as Tru-Fit Bowling and Vern sold bowling products and drilled bowling balls. The company changed into an engraving and trophy company and has been working locally, nationally and even internationally with clients on all types of awards from chili cook-off trophies to engraved eagle head figurines and employee recognition plaques and clocks. Vern has been in the business for 53 years and is ready to pass the torch. He and his wife Muriel work together every day and do all the sales, ordering, and production for the company.
